to the celebration of the Bi-
centennial of American in-
dependence and citing the
biblical roots of the Ameri-
can concept of liberty will
be presented by the Israel
Bond Organization to syn-
agogues that achieve out-
standing results for the
progress toward economic
independence of the sister
democracy of Israel through

Cutler Earns Bond Activity
Bond Prize
Nets $80,000

Octogenarian Abraham J.
Cutler received the 1976
State of Israel Bond Prime
Minister's Club plaque from
Norman Allan, Greater
Metropolitan Detroit Israel
Bond Executive Committee
officer.
Life-long friends, both
Cutler and Allan are foun-
der-members of the elite
club, established by former
Israel Prime Minister Golda
Meir to stimulate bond pur-
chases on the highest level,
and have renewed their
memberships annually.

More than $80,000 were
invested in Israel Bonds at a
leadership reception honor-
ing Irwin Klar, president of
Cong. Beth Abraham-Hillel,
in the home of Mr. and Mrs'.
Irving Nusbaum.
Noted journalist and au-
thor Robert St. John was
guest speaker. Participating
in the reception were Henry
Thumin, tribute dinner
chairman; Mr. and Mrs.
Nusbaum, Cantor Shabtai
Ackerman and Rabbi Israel
Halpern of Beth Abraham-
