Elects Three Area
Women Officers

Three Detroit area
women were elected to serve
on the Bnai Brith Women
District 6 Executive Board
at the recently held district
convention.
Mrs. Ira Albion was
elected vice president of the
district, which encompasses
eight states and two Cana-
dian provinces. Mrs. Robert
Ellis and Mrs. Allen Weitz-
man were elected to the dis-
trict board of directors. All
are past presidents of the
Bnai Brith Women's Coun-
cil of Metropolitan Detroit.
A delegation of more than
75 area women, led by cur-
rent Council president, Mrs.
Harold Rowe, attended the
three-day meeting held in
Arlington Heights, Ill.

National Award
NEW YORK — Simcha
Dinitz, Israel's ambassador
to the United States and Dr.
Gerson D. Cohen, chancellor
of the Jewish Theological
Seminary of America, will
highlight the 47th annual
convention of the National
Federation of Jewish Men's
Clubs, July 25-29 at Kiame-
sha Lake, N.Y. Dinitz will
receive the organization's
distinguished service award
and Cohen will deliver the
keynote address.
