Last week, the yeshiva
held a bicycle rodeo. the
purpOse of this rodeo was to
teach the students bicycle
safety. All students from
grade 4 and up participated
in the rodeo. Officer Vale-
sano of the Southfeild Police
Department came to the
yeshiva and set up and su-
pervised the rodeo.
The rodeo, which took
place on the yeshiva parking
lot, had many different ob-
stacle courses. After each
student completed the ob-
stacle courses he received
several pamphlets on bicycle
safety. Several yeshiva
teachers were on hand to
judge the rodeo.
Some of the Mesifta
students volunteered their
time and helped paint the
new yeshiva dormitory.
This project took them
about three Sundays to
complete.

ports that Jewish students
at the University of Michi-
gan are reflecting a small
national trend towards com-
munity living.
The two largest Jewish
living centers on campus are
Hebrew House, a co-opera-
tive of 31 students, and the
Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity
house.
The paper said that in
addition to these large
groups, smaller groups of
Jewish students live to-
gether in the numerous Ann
Arbor homes that border
the U-M campus.
The two major groups
are expected to be joined in
the near future by Habad
House, recently purchased
and being renovated by the
Lubavitch group in De-
troit.
Hebrew House is now
completing its second year
as a hevra (circle of friends).
The idea originated at Cam-
