in progress in Germany.
The Freiburg trial of Adolf

Two SS officers accused of

under orders and would have
been risking his life to re-

Three of the 11 defendants
in a trial in Giessen have
been released because of ill

NEW YORK (JTA)—The
JeWish Child Care Associa-
tion placed 22 children from
hasidic families in family
care programs, enabling
mothers of such families to
'work - and provide income
needed to raise the large
families of such Jews.
The day care program
places the children in homes
of other hasidic families,
assuring the working parents
that their children will be
handled with full respect for
hasidic traditions, according
to -Mrs. Clara Horowitz, ad-
ministrator of the program.
Most of the Hasidic moth-
ers enabled to work through
the day care program are
teachers in Orthodox schools.
The program is carried out
jointly by the JCCA in co-
operation with the Eisman
Day Nursery, a privately-
supported agency.
