Detroit Concert Band, un-
der the direction of Dr.
Leonard Smith, will begin
its 29th annual summer festi-
val series 8:15 p.m. Sunday
at the • Remick Memorial
Music Shell on Belle Isle.
Mayor Coleman A. Young
has proclaimed the day De-
troit Concert Band Day.
Cornetist David Zauder,_
formerly affiliated with Ar-
thur Fiedler and the Boston
Pops Symphony and the
Cleveland Orchestra, will be
the featured perforiner.
