Hadassah's JNF project
takes the theme "Green Is
Beautiful." Three already
established Negev develop-
ment towns — Shderot, Neti-
vot and Ofakim are being
adopted.
The goal is to provide Sab-
bath parks, landscaped play
area, shade trees, green belts
against sandstorms and mun-
icipal recreation spots.
The Mizrachi Women proj-
ect, Kiryat Malachi, will cost
$300,000 and will also be
completed over a three-year
period. It will add a green
belt of trees and recreation
areas in the region between
Ashkelon and Ashdod.
The Pioneer Women proj-
ect will be on the site of
Kibutz Lahav, not far from
Beersheba in the northern
Negev. Pioneer Women, in
conjunction with the Jewish
National Fund, will plant a
forest of 150,000 trees with
picnic facilities.

It's a good place to find your way out
of the contemporary decorating muddle
