Kids who love to spend their time in Hebrew school? That's
what Mishkan Israel Religious School claims to have achieved with
its emphasis on a semi-youth club atmosphere, extracurricular ac-
tivities, and trips to New York and local places of interest. Mrs.
Lillian Greenwald, director of the school, said that the college-age
teachers provide an image with which the students .can identify.
Aside from the regular Hebrew school, Sunday school and Bar
Mitzva classes, Mishkan Israel has set up a special education pro-
gram for the Jewish training of slow and problem learners. There
also is a rabbi's class for boys and girls age 13-16. For registra-
tion information, call Mishkan Israel, 548-2666. In the photograph,
a sweatshirted Rabbi Yitschok Kagan looks on while Steven Hare-
lick and Steve Baker take off for the 100-yard dash. With him are
(from left): Kenny Rosen, Gary Friedman and teacher George
Weiss.
