AN OPEN LETTER TO MOTHERS ...
& FATHERS OF YOUNG CHILDREN

who realize that the best medicine is preventive medicine
. . . and who want to provide their children value guidelines"
rather than deal with generation gaps and way-out behavior
ten years from now:
Youth's discontent and rebelliousness may be signs of the
times, but cop-outs and withdrawal are not proud banners
. .. and will never solve issues. Good, hard thinking, based
on knowledge coupled with extraordinary effort from an
honest commitment, will help shape a good future for your
children. Expose them to the exciting chapters of your
people's past; let them learn about their rich traditions, and
about their religious heritage. They will then experience and
feel the mystique of an Eternal Direction, and then be in a
better position to make relevant, contemporary decisions on
their own.
If you agree with the logic and truth of this thesis . . . if
you feel strongly your role and responsibility as parents we
can help you get started if you will just call (851-6880) or
visit us in the new Beth Abraham Synagogue of West Bloom-
field.
