NCJW's Angels to Be Thanked at Ball

The 15th annual Thanksgiving tional Council of Jewsih Women is

Brown Spider
Is Coming!

The :National Safety Council
warns that the brown recluse,
a shy. nocturnal spider with a dis-
tinguishing violin-shaped band an
its body, gradually is spreading
east and north across the nation.

The one-half-inch-long recluse is
adaptable to every section of the
country and its natural habitat is
indoors, making it a year-round
danger.

Its bite can be deadly. It usually
occurs without warning and is felt
as a mild sting.

A few hours after a victim is
bitten, symptoms appear. They in-
clude pain, swelling and blistering.
Sometimes there is hemorhag-
ing, ulceration, collapsed blood ves-
sels and degeneration of surround-
ing tissue.

Grove Bay Care Center, located at
the Oak Grove M. E.- Church in
Detroit. Council members are co-
operating with members of the
church in setting up modern edu-
cational and recreational facilities
for children, age 3 to 5, to be
cared for five days a week from 7
a.m. to 6 p.m.
Council also provides broad pub-
lic affairs programs as well as
scholarships locally and abroad.

sure the success of Angel Ball in

to Be Honoree at
Hannka Concert

Detroit Friends of Chabad and
Camp Gan Israel will celebrate
with Charles E. Feinberg on the
occasion of his 70th birthday at the
Hanuka Hasidic concert 8 p.m.
