Book Review and Breakfast Series
will open with Rabbi M. Robert
Syme reviewing Myron S. Kauf-
mann's "Thy Daughter's Naked-
ness:.! ---11 a.m. Monday in the
social- bill. Tickets for the series
may be purchased by calling Mrs.
Harry Letzer, LI 9-4112, or at the
temple office. The cost includes
breakfast of bagels and lox at 10
a.m. and the review following.
Mrs. Easton Brodsky is book re-
view chairman, and Mrs. Stanley
Millman is in charge of the break-
fast

Pioneer Women, will meet 12:30
p.m. Monday at the Labor Zionist
Institute. President Ethel Phillips
announces that a Hanuka program
is planned with English and Yid-
dish readings. Participating will be
Sarah Friedman, Esther Lamed
and Reva Schoichit. Refreshments
will be served. Guests are invited.

HENRIETTA SZOLD GROUP,
Hadassah, will celebrate the an-
niversary of Mrs. Szold's birthday,
along with Hanuka, at a luncheon
noon Tuesday at Hadassah House,
President Mrs. Julius Fox an-
nounces. Guitarist Joyce Horwitz
will perform. Mrs. Frank Rosen-
baum will be narrator for the pro-
gram. Prizes will be featured.
Members are requested to bring
their filled eye banks.

Norman Bolton and Louis Shiovitz.

used to assist the children in the
Mizrachi homes in Israel.

Beth Shalom Sisterhood will
present an oneg Shabat mu-
sicale featuring Annette and Julius
Chajes 2 p.m. Saturday at the
home of Mrs. Herman Brodsky,
12927 Nadine, Huntington Woods.
Conductor of the Jewish Center
Symphony Orchestra, Chajes has
also conducted and played his com-
positions throughout the world. His
operetta "Out of the Desert" pre-
miered at Temple Israel in 1966.
Mrs. Chajes began her singing les-
sons at the age of 15 and has ap-
peared in many concerts and reci-
tals. She will again appear as
soloist with the Center orches-
tra in January. For the oneg, their
repertoire will include songs in
Hebrew, as well as musical com-
edy selections. The public is in-
vited. Refreshments will be served.

DETROIT LEAGUE, Children's
Asthma Research Institute and
Hospital, will hold an open meet-
ing, with noon luncheon, Wednes-
day at Knob Woods Club House.
According to program chairman
Mrs. Sidney Wallace, Addle Beck-
erman will be the speaker. Mrs.
Beckerman, who has been active
in theater since childhood, has
performed professionally in Pen-
nsylvania and attended Carnegie
Tech Drama School. She has per-
formed often for Center Theater,
in its major productions and in
one-woman shows, besides pre-
senting programs for various or-
ganizations. Detroit League has
announced that a free booklet on
"Asthma," will soon be released
by CARTE in Denver.

SOCIETY will hold its donor lunch-
eon noon Thursday in the Jewish
