MISS SANDRA BERNSTEIN
At a recent family dinner, Mr.
and Mrs. Irving Bernstein of Le
Rhone Ave., Southfield, announced
the engagement of their daughter
Sandra Lynn to Martin Harold
Mellin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton
Mellin of Apple Ridge Tr., Bir-
mingham.
The bride-elect attends Eastern
Michigan University's school of
education. Mr. Mellin is a senior
at Wayne State University.
A June 29 wedding is being
planned.

She was sworn in recently at
ceremonies in Washington, D.C.
The new career corns was estab-
lished last month under legislation
signed by President Johnson.
After some months of training
in Washington, Miss Berris will
be assigned to a USIA post in
one of more than 100 countries.
The agency has 1,700 Americans
serving abroad in press, radio,
cultural and other fields. Their
mission is to foster understand-
of the United States—its people
and policies.
Miss Berris is a graduate of
the University of Michigan where
she received BA and MA degrees.
Before joining USIA, she was a
research assistant at the Center
for Chinese Studies in Ann Arbor.

were united in marriage in a recent
ceremony at the Fontainebleau
Hotel.
Dr. Max A. Lipschitz officiated
at the nuptials, assisted by Cantor
Jacob J. Renzer. -
The bride wore a floor-length
peau de soie and Alencon lace
gown with an attached aisle-wide
train. Her four-tiered veil of
French silk illusiofi was attached
to a band of re-embroidered
Alencon lace appliques.
Sandra Madorsky, the bride-
groom's sister, was maid of honor.
Rebecca Cohen, Debbi Fien, Arlene
Glickman and Marsha Madorsky
were bridesmaids.
Shayne Erenbaum and Joan Sil-
verstein were flower girls.
Dr. Bernard Silverstein was best
man. Roger Litwiller and Harold
Rabinovitz were ushers.
The couple will reside in Gaines-
ville, Fla., where the bride attends
the University • of Florida's gradu-
ate business school, and the bride-
groom attends the U. of F. medical
school.

After a honeymoon at Yellow-
stone Park and Portland, the cou-
ple is residing in Royal Oak.
The bride wore a short dress of
chiffon with accordian pleats and
ruffles at neck and hem. She car-
ried a bouipiet of daisies and
baby's breath.

her sister's maid of honor. Ina
