The bride-elect attends Eastern Michigan University's school of education. Mr. Mellin is a senior at Wayne State University. After some months of training in Washington, Miss Berris will be assigned to a USIA post in one of more than 100 countries. Miss Berris is a graduate of the University of Michigan where she received BA and MA degrees. Before joining USIA, she was a research assistant at the Center for Chinese Studies in Ann Arbor.
