TWO DETROIT GROUPS who
recently concluded successful en-
gagements at the Moon Revue
Supper Club, have been signed to
long-term contracts by the high
powered Ashley-Famous Agency of
New York . . . They are Tony and
Sam and the Tartans, and Izzy and
the Hair Raisers . . . The latter
features Detroit-born singer Izzy
Marion, who bills himself as the
"hair dresser to the stars" because
of his chain of beauty salons on the
west coast . . The two groups
shared the Moon's Lunar Lounge
stage for three weeks in July,
during which time the Ashley-
Famous representatives scouted
and later signed them to contracts.
