Among those participating as hostesses in the planning for the
Israel fashion show and luncheon, sponsored by the Detroit Israel
Bond women's division, are (from left, standing) Mesdames George

Allen H. Kraft, Harold Provizer, Irving Arlin, Louis Berry, Albert
Posen, Irwin Green, Manuel Neiman and Ben Safir; seated is Mrs.
Joseph Holtzman. Mrs. Berry, chairman of the fashion show,
announced that the list of hostesses at the Fashion Show and of
committee members is still incomplete. Mrs. Itzhak Rabin, wife of
the chief of staff in the Six-Day War and present ambassador to the
United States, will be the guest of honor at the show and luncheon,
to be held June 12, at the Shaarey Zedek. A special feature will be
the drawing for the seventh annual 'Star of Israel" original diamond
creation designed and presented by Mr. and Mrs. Norman Allan.

MISS ELAINE ROSENTHAL

Dr. and Mrs. Michael J. Rosen-
thal of Beverly Ave., Oak Park,
announce the engagement of their
daughter Elaine to Dr. Stephen
Bertman of Windsor. He is the son
of Mrs. Miriam Bertman of Dobbs
Ferry, N. Y., and the late Mr.
Bertman.
Miss Rosenthal is a graduate
of Wayne State University's col-
lege of education. She is complet-
ing a masters degree in element-
ary school guidance and counsel-
ing. Dr. Bertram received a mast-
ers degree in Near Eastern and
Judaic studies from Brandeis Uni-
versity and a doctorate in Greek
and Latin literature from Columbia
University. He is associate profes-
sor of classics at the University of
Windsor.
An August wedding is planned.
