Cantor Orbach to Sing at Folk Chorus Concert

Cantor Harold Orbach and Shir-
ley Benyas will be guest artists
at the annual spring concert of
the Detroit Jewish Folk Chorus,
under the baton of Harvey Schreib-
man, 8 p.m. Sunday in the. Scot-
tish Rite Cathedral, Masonic
Temple.
The chorus will present a pro-
gram commemorating the 25th
anniversary of the uprising in the
Warsaw Ghetto and the 20th an-

PHILADELPHIA (JTA) — Fol-
lowing approval by the Federation
of Jewish Agencies of a food col-
lection program for the Poor
People's March on Washington,
canned food collection centers were
set up here at three branches of
the Jewish Y's and Centers.
Full cooperation with other re-
ligious and community groups in
the food collection campaign was
pledged by the Board of Rabbis
of Greater Philadelphia.

We're proud of all selections
by Ruth Schwartz, but her pro-
fessional decorator's touch is
especially evident in the Gallery

At Bnai David Synagogue, Mar-
lene Lois Katz, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Nathan Katz of Green-
view Rd., Southfield, became the
bride of Harvey I. Goodman, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel L. Goodman
of La Garonne Ave., Southfield.
Rabbi Hayim Donin and Cantor
Hyman Adler officiated.
The bride wore a wedding gown
of English net with re-embroidered
Alencon lace and seed pearls. It
had an Empire silhouette with
hernlihe of peau de soie. Her chapel
train was of matching net and lace
and bordered with peau de soie.
The triple-tiered veil of silk illusion
fell from a croft of re-embroider-
ed Alencon lace, and the bride
carried a spray of Stephanotis on
her Bible.
Jo-Anne Katz, sister of the bride,
was maid of honor. Matron of
honor was Mrs. Steffan Taub, the
bridegroom's sister. Bridesmaids
were Linda Goodman, sister of the
bridegroom, Lorraine Le - Paule,
Lynn Ittigson and Mrs. Harvey
Chayet.
Best man was Manuel Katzman
and junior best man was Gerald
Katz, brother of the bride. Ushers
were Leslie Weingarden, Dr. Stef-
fan Taub, Ronald Rossin and Tom
Schwocko.
The Goodmans honeymooned at
Miami Beach.

A farewell luncheon to Consul
General MICHAEL ARNON was
given May 14 by the leadership of
six top Jewish philanthropic organ-
izations. The luncheon, at which
Mrs. Rose L. Halprin, chairman of
the Jewish Agency-American Sec-
tion, presided, was held at the Jew-
ish Agency building. Arnon, who
will return to Jerusalem at the
end of June prior to assuming a
new foreign Service post, received
tributes from the leadership of
the six organizations.
