Jewish Philanthropies of Boston Raises $5,503,194

Boston announced a final figure of
$5.503,194 in its 1907 appeal at a
campaign closing dinner night.
Mortimer Weiss, general campaign
chairman, noted that this year's

total—a substantial increase over
the amount raised last year--.as
cne of the highest fund-raising re-
sults in recent years. It marked
the third year in succession that
Boston has achieved a "plus" cam-
paign.
