The new Yiddish-speaking
lodge will be known as the
Detroit Sholom Aleichem Bnai
Brith Lodge, according to the
decision of an organizing com-
mittee.
At the last meeing, provi-
sional officers were elected.
The goal of 100 members by
Dec. 30 was set. The provi-

sional executive will consist of:
Harry Kaminer, chairman; Max
Schulzinger and Jack Ormond,
vice-chairmen; Philip Kaplan,
treasurer; Sam Zalikovits, sec-
retary;. Alex Gottlieb, member-
ship chairman.
Steps to organize a Yiddish-
speaking Lodge were taken by
Metropolitan Bnai Brith Coun-
cil.

Provisional Officers for Yiddish BB Lodge

MRS. SIDNEY RUBIN
Marilyn Irene Goodman was
wed to Sidney Ralph Rubin in
a ceremony performed Aug. 18
by Rabbi Jacob E. Segal and the
bride's uncle, Cantor Norman
Summers of Newark, N. J., at
the Raleigh House.
Parents of the newlyweds are
Mrs. Charles Goodman of Whit-
comb Ave. and the late Charles
Goodman, and Mr. and Mrs. Her-
man Rubin of Mattapan, Mass.
The bride wore a gown of
ivory silk peau de soie with the
fitted bodice of Alencon lace and
embroidered with seed pearls.
The skirt fell into a chapel train.
Her fingertip silk illusion veil
was held by a crown of seed
pearls and crystals. The gown
was especially designed for her
by James Caratelli.
Marilyn Diamond was maid of
honor. Bridesmaids were Joyce
Tennent, Sandy Rabinowitz and
Lenora Hirsch. Audrey . Rubin,
niece of the bridegroom, was
flower girl.
Ron Meltzer of Akron, 0., was
best man. Ushers were Barry
Goodman, Irwin Rabinowitz,
Gary Wetstien, Paul Jacobson of
Needham, Mass., and Saul Rubin
of Newton, Mass. Richard Jacob-
son, nephew of the bridegroom,
was ring-bearer.
After an extended honeymoon
at the Concord Hotel, Cape Cod
and Boston, the newlyweds will
reside in Detroit.
