ADL Telecast
to Be Seen Here

Miss Sharon Rosenthal and
Samuel Field, owners of the
Open Door Art Gallery at 18090
Wyoming, stated this week that
they were highly pleased with
the audience reaction to the
oils, water colors, pastels and
plaques by the Israeli artist,
Moshe Shomogi.
"Our exhibit will continue for
another full week," Miss Rosen-
than said this week. "A number
of Shomogi's paintings have
been purchased by discriminat-
ing Detroiters and by Zionist
leaders, and interest is beirig
shown in the remaining works
which can be seen at our studio
through Dec. 5."
Shomogi's work depicts the
life of Israel, past and present.
The paintings of Shomogi,
who is- an invalid residing at
the Malben Hospital at Mahne,
Israel, show Israeli street
scenes, parades, and people. Re-
ligious and historical events are
also used by the artist as sub-
ject matter. •
This is the first time that
Shomogi's work is being shown
in the United States. In addition
to painting, he also uses Is-
rali sand on specially designed
plaques for depicting of famous
holy places.
