Administrative Post

The Board of Education an-
nounced the appointment of
Miss Huldah Fine, veteran De-
troit principal, to the post of
administrator in the northeast
district.
Miss Fine, principal of Hamp-
ton School, 18460 Warrington,
and a member of the Detroit
schools for 40 years, replaces
retiree Thekla E. Martin. The
territory under her administra-
tion includes 32 schools, among
them Denby and Osborn
Heights.
Principal at Hampton since
1947, Miss Fine previously
served 'the same function at
Preston and. Marcy, and was
assistant principal at Priest.
She will begin at $14,871.
