light Young People's Concert
at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, in the

dents, will be heard in Mozart's
Piano Concerto in D Minor.
Richard Luby, 15-year-old vio-
linist, student of Mischa Mischa-
koff, will perform Romanze in
F Major by Beethoven and
Capriccio by Chajes. Alvin Bel-
knap, first trumpet player of
the Center Symphony and mem-
ber of the Detroit Symphony,
will be the soloist in "Trumpet
Voluntary" by Purcell. Bela
Wurtzler, bass, member of the
Center Symphony and Detroit
Symphony will play the Mel-
ody by Chajes, in memory of
Mrs. Annie Handelsman, of Whitmore Rd., has as her house
guest her sister, Mrs. May Fogelman, of Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Fogel-
man came here to attend the Bar Mitzvah of her grand nephew,
Robert Pasick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Al Pasick, of Oak Park. Other
out-of-town guests attending the ceremony were Messrs. and
Mesdames William Horowitz, Sanford Horowitz, Milton Starsky

Resorts Black-Listed
by Tourist Council;
Order Ban on Bias
Two Michigan resorts this
week were prevented from pub-
licizing their activities in litera-
ture produced by the Michigan
Tourist Council because of dis-
criminatory advertising.
This assurance was given by
the Attorney General's office to
the Jewish Community Council
of Metropolitan Detroit, which
had. filed a complaint regarding
discriminatory langauge used by
the resorts in advertising bro-
chures.
In a memo from Jerry S. Co-
hen, Assistant Attorney Gen-
eral, the official stand of the
department is as follows:
"This is to advise that pursu-
ant to an opinion of this office,
the Michigan Tourist Council
and its various affiliates have
been advised to accept no more
advertising or to in any other
way publicize or list said re-
sorts until such time as all ma-
terials in violation of the Michi-
gan Civil Rights Law have been
removed from their brochures."
