First Girl in
Ceresnie Clan
Ruins Everything

When Mrs. Sol Ceresnie went
ipto Harper Hospital for de-
livery of her fifth child last
Sunday, it was almost a fore-
gone conclusion among mem-
bers of Ceresnie clan in Detroit
that it would be another boy.
The Sol Ceresnies, who live
at 20237 Mark Twain, and the
Harry Ceresnies. of 21750 Gard-
ner, Oak Park, between them
have seven boys. Sol and Harry
are the proprietors of Ceresnie
Brothers Furs, on Livernois
Ave.
But last Sunday proved to be
a turning point. One day after
July 4, Mrs. Ceresnie, the form-
er Sophie Horwich. issued her
own declaration of independ-
ence in the person of Janice
Helene Ceresnie.
The young miss soon will join
an all-male household consist-
ing of Steven, 101/2, Eddie, 9,
Michael, 51/2, and Glen, 31/2.
It was young Michael who
made the observation. rather
critically. that everything was
ruined, since now the business
will have to be known as
"Ceresnie Brothers and Sister."
