A dessert luncheon will be
served at tables with hostesses
from the board presiding. All
women are invited to attend.

Allen Traurig to Get
WSU Medical Degree

One of the successful M.D.
candidates who graduated the
Wayne State University medi-
cal school is Dr. Allen Robert
Traurig, who was inadvertantly
omitted from last week's story
on the graduates.
Dr. Traurig, a member of the
Young Israel, was the 1956
recipient of the National Foun-
dation for Infantile Paralysis
fellowship, served as national
- student editor of Phi Lambda
Kappa Quarterly, and was vice•
president of Omicron chapter
of Phi Lambda Kappa medical
fraternity.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Milton Traurig, 2997 Buena
Vista, and is a graduate of Yes-
hivath Beth Yehudah.

MISS MARSHA ELLENSON

At a recent cocktail party, Mr.
and Mrs. Albert E. Ellenson, of
Kenosha Ave., Oak Park, an-
nounced the engagement of
their daughter, Marsha Joy, to
Fred Gordon, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Gordon, of Wood-
ingham Dr.
The bride-elect attended Mich-
igan State University, and was
graduated from Carnegie Insti-
tute as a registered medical as-
sistant. Mr. Gordon is graduat-
ing f r o m the University of
Michigan school of business ad-
ministration, and is affiliated
with Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity.
The couple is planning an
Aug. 10 wedding.

Center Softball Season Under Way

With the softball season at
the Jewish Community Center
well underway, it's the Mon-
archs ahead in the class "B"
league, and in the class "A"
league, both the Celtics and Pre-
vons have yet to lose a game.
The junior leagues, in which
teams are named after major
league clubs, finds the Tigers
out in front in the American
league, with the Cubs and Giants
tied in the National.
