SAMUEL JAKONT

Congratulations poured in this
week to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel
Jakont, who on June 9 cele-
brated their 50th wedding anni-
versary. The day before they
were guests of honor at a din-
ner party and reception given
for them and attended by 75
relatives.
The Jakonts, who live at 18444
Washburn, were married in De-
troit, while it was still a small
town. Mrs. Jakont has been a
Detroit resident since 1890. Mr.
Jakont has been in the dry
goods and jobbing business here
since 1908.
The couple have four daugh-
ters: Mildred, Hilda, Mrs. Mau-
rice Greenberg and Mrs. Isadore
Trebuck. They also have three
granddaughters - Penny Ellen,
Nicki Lynn and Bette Anne
Trebuck.
