Wayne U. Degree Robert Goldfarb, of 18311
MRS. RICHARD M. BROWN
An altar arrayed with white
roses was the setting for . a
candlelight ceremony on Dec.
29, when Sharon Ruth Freed-
man exchanged marital vows
with Richard Martin Brown at
Adas Shalom Synagogue.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Freedman,
of Hartwell Ave., who were cel-
ebrating their 29th wedding an-
niversary that evening. The
bridegroom's parents are Mr.
and Mrs. Cass W. Brown, of
Cortland Ave. Rabbi Jacob E.
Segal and Cantor Nicholas Fen-
akel officiated.
The bride's gown was of pearl
lustered satin with three-quar-
ter length sleeves that tapered
to the elbows. Pearls and irri-
descent paillettes frosted the
embroidered Alen c on lace
which framed the heart-shaped
.neckline. Medallions of jewelled
lace encircled the waistline, and
the bouffant skirt belled in
backswept sculptured folds,
spreading into a circular train.
Her scalloped headpiece of
lace and pearls secured her
tiered fingertip veil of French
illusion, and she carried a
pr a y er b o ok arrangement of
white orchids and stephanotis.
Harriet Naidus, the bride's
cousin, was maid of honor, and
bridesmaids were Jean Balan,
Rochelle Blum, Brenda Klemp-
ner, Sue Simons, Lorraine Small
and Dorothy Freedman, a cousin
from Buffalo, N. Y.
Two more cousins, Barbara
Naidus and Cheryl Klempner,
were junior bridesmaids, and
Cindy Kurtz, a cousin of the
bridegroom, was flower girl.
The bride's brother, SP/3
Sheldon Freedman, flew here
from Seattle, Wash., to be best
man. Ushers were Sheldon
Brown, brother of the bride-
groom, Sheldon Klein, Sheldon
Kafton, Ronald Balan, Barry
Yaker, Ernest Bennett, Irving
Blum and Howard Boesky.
Charles Yorke was junior usher,
and Fred Cohen was ring
bearer.
Following a Florida honey-
moon, the couple will reside in
Des Moines, Ia., where Mr.
Brown will resume his studies
at the Still College of Osteo-
pathy and Surgery and Mrs.
Brown teaches in the Des
Moines school system.
