MISS DIANE FREED
Diane Lois Freed's engage-
ment to Bernard Goodman was
announced by her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Samuel R. Freed, of
Indiana Ave. Her fiance is the
son of Mrs. Ida Goodman, of
Leslie Ave., and the late Mr.
Harry Goodman.
A May wedding is planned.
The president of the Ameri-
can College of Physicians, Dr.
Richard A. Kern, will serve as
visiting chief of medicine at
Sinai Hospital, today.
Dr. Kern is emeritus pro-
fessor of medicine at Temple
University College of Medicine
and is the highest ranking of-
ficer in the Naval Corps medi-
cal reserve, as Rear Admiral,
the commission he held during
World War II.
He will preside at a clinical
conference in the Sinai main
lecture room Friday morning
and will make patient rounds
in the hospital in the after-
noon.
All Detroit-area physicians
are invited.
Four to six visiting chief
days a year are held at Sinai.
