Final Strategy for Sunday Donor
Beth El - Sisterhood-Set Two-Day Treas -urama'
A two-day "Treasurama" is
planned by the Sisterhood of
Temple Beth El this Sunday
and Monday, in the temple's
social hall, it is announced by
Mrs. Major Siegel, president.
Under the chairmanship of
Mrs. Arthur Bloom, the fund-
raising event will be held from
10 a.m: to 8 -
p.m., dail y,
and will be a
showcasing of
unusual fur-
nishings and
objects d'art
for the home.
Among the
items to be
-displayed and
on sale are
antique silver
platters, Dres- Mrs. Siegel
den candelabra, carved jade,
crystal and fine China, con-
temporary coffee tables-, --chests,
lamps and bric-a-brac of all
descriptions.
Items of unusual interest to
the antique hunter are a wine
cooler fashioned into a plant
stand, an old Seth Thomas
mantle clock and a rosewood
roll-top lap desk.
A special feature of "Treas-
urama" will be an auction at
7 p.m. Monday, at which all
remaining pieces will go to
the highest bidder. Refresh-
ments will be served during
the show in the social hall.
Funds raised from the event
will be used to continue sup-
port of the Sisterhood's pro-
gram to provide rabbinical
scholarships at Hebrew Union
College and continue summer
camping programs at Ocono-
mowoc, Wis., and Saratoga„
Calif., for boys and girls 14
to 18.

- Starting on Monday and. last-
ing through Wednesday, Dec.
11, all 1013s will take special
experimental tests. At the same
time, these tests also will be
given to- 10B students at Chad-
sey, Cody and Mackenzie, to
give the Board of Education a
better idea of a master plan
of courses. Results of the test-
ing will enable counselors to
give better individual attention
in making out students' pro-
grams. If the experiment is
successful, all 10Bs in the city
will take these tests semi-
annually.
Today commences the 1957-
58 basketball season at Mum-
ford. Mumford, faces Central in
a non league game this after-
noon.,
Grade petitions go out Mon-
day for this year's Student
Council- election. Election will
take place Dec. 16 and 17.
Bettie Schottenfels, 12B, re-
cently won third place in a
nationwide contest, sponsored
by the Ford Motor Company.
Bettie, along with other jour-
nalism students from all over
the country, saw a priiiate
showing of the '58 Ford line
in October. Then the students
were to write and , submit
their stories of the showing.
For placing third, Bettie gets
a scholarship. Bettie is editor-
