Rites Set for Summer
Starting Tuesday
Abbo Ostrowsky, renowned
Russian artist, will appear at
the opening of a Detroit ex-
hibition of his works, on Tues-
day at the Anna L. Werbe Gal-
leries, 19458 Livernois.
Ostrowsky is the founder of
the famed Educational Alliance
Art School in New York. Aca-
demy director from 1914 until
1955, he was influential in the
work of important contemporary

sian massacre of 1905, he arrived
in America, where he studied

A summer wedding is being
planned.

The new Institute will be
able to accommodate more chil-
dren than presently may be en-
rolled in the school.
The Sholem Aleichem Nur-
sery is now accepting applica-
tions for - September registra-
tion in the new school. Since
the number of nursery chil-
dren is limited, parents should
make immediate inquiries.
The new building will con-
tain five classrooms, a library
and a large - auditorium • and
stage and will be backed by a
large play-ground. The Institute
will maintain its own adjacent
parking lot.
The Sholem Aleichem Insti-
tute invites the community to
come to its present headquar-
ters at 18495 Wyoming to see
the final plans of the new
building, which will be com-
pleted in time for the opening
