Mr. and Mrs. Harry Matlin,
of Vineland, N. J., recently an-
nounced the engagement of their
daughter, Jane, to Herbert Kau-
fer, while entertaining family
and friends at a cocktail party
and buffet supper in their home.
Miss Matlin attends the Univer-
sity of Michigan. Her fiance, son
of Mr-. and Mrs. Sam Kaufer, of
Coyle Ave., is enrolled in the
U. of M. medical school. The
wedding will take place this
August, in Philadelphia, -Pa.
Young Marrieds Slate
Potluck, Talent $how
The annual pot luck supper of
the Young Marrieds Group of
Temple Israel will be held at
7:15 p.m., Saturday, in the tin-
pie youth room.
The dinner, under the chair-
manship of Mr. and Mrs. John
Goldstick, will be presented in
conjunction with a "Holiday for
Spring Revue," a production of
the membership, directed by Mr.
and Mrs. Louis Fried.
Another feature of the eve-
ning, which is open tO all paid-
up members, will be the award
of a weekend- for two at the
Concord Hotel; in New York,
and four tickets to Stage Center
Theater.

Kleinman, past president of the
Council, Joseph Bernstein, edi-
tor of the Jewish Daily For-
ward, and the late U.S. Senator
Blair Moody.
