Young-Feldman Rites
Observed on June 24

MRS. SIDNEY YOUNG

In a double-ring ceremony
June 24, at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek, Rosalie Ruth Feldman,
and Sidney Paul Young were
united in marriage by Rabbi
Morris Adler, assisted by Can-
tor Shabtai Ackerman..
The bride is the daughter of

Appliques of the sequined
lace supplied the motif through-
out the skirt. She wore a tiara
of matching lace, embroidered
with sequins and pearls, from
which fell • a fingertip veil of
silk illusion. She carried steph-
anotis on a white satin .>ible.
Karen Lipkin was maid of
honor, and bridesmaids were

ter, Joan Feldman, her cousin,
Barbara Goldberg and Mrs.
Yvonne Gonda.

er's best man, and Ushers were

Ask Bulgaria to Speed
Settlement on Plane

JERUSALEM, (JTA) — The
Israel government is consider-
ing sending a delegation to Sofia
to speed a settlement of its
claim for compensation for the
shooting down a year ago of an
El Al passenger plane with 58
crewmen and passengers aboard.
All were killed.
Mrs. Golda Myerson, Foreign
Minister, summoned the Bul-
garian Charge d'Affaires to tell
him this. It is understood that
regardless of whether a dele-
gation goes to Bulgaria or not,
Shabbetai Rosenne, Foreign
Ministry legal advisor, will be
leaving for Sofia by the end of
the month.
Israel's claim was submitted
five months after the incident,
in which the Constellation was
blasted out of the skies by Bul-
garian fighters. The Bulgarian
government has formally ac-
cepted responsibility for the in-
cident.

A series of committee meet-
ings is being conducted by the
Detroit- Council of Pioneer
Women during the summer
months in preparation for the
resumption of activities for the
1956-57 season.
Newly-elected president, Mrs.
Irving Turner, and vice-presi-
dent of organization, Mrs. Frank
Wasser, advise that the calendar
of events will begin with an
Open House on Sept. 24, at the
Labor Zionist Institute, 19161
Schaefer.
Plans also have been outlined
for an oneg shabbat, Honor Roll
Luncheon and the traditional
donor event on Dec. 9, at Ma-
sonic Temple.
