The show will be open, to
trade buyers only, from 1 to
6 p.m., June 18, and 9 a.m. to
1 p.m., the three . succeeding
days. It will be open to the pub-
lic from 2 to 8 p.m., June 19
to 21.
Exhibits will include knit-
wear and rainwear; construc-
tion materials — cement, mar-
ble, plywood; plate glass and
arts and crafts.
The U. S. is now Israel's big-
gest export customer. Last year,
this country bought more than
$16,000,000 out of a total Israel
export trade of $84,000,000.
Eighty per cent of the pur-
chases were in diamonds, gems
and industrials.
The show is being organized
by Shaul Ben-Haim, Israel Con-
sul in Chicago. The sponsoring
committee, headed by Robert
Janeway, includes Eugene Arn-
feld, Norman Birnkrant, Joseph
Fenton, Walter Field, Ben
- Goldstein, Abe Kasle, Jack
Kellman, Alfred May, Max
Osnos, Louis G. Redstone, C.

He served with the U.S. Army
in the Far East, appearing in - a
weekly TV program telecast in
Tokyo. He also has appeared in
night clubs, hotels and resorts.
Home for Aged Official
Gets Post in West
Sidney Friedman, for three
and a half years the assistant
director of the Jewish Home for
Aged here, will leave that post
at the end of the month.
He will assume the position
of executive director of the He-
brew Home for Aged and Dis-
abled in San Francisco, Calif., a
180-bed institution.
Friedman was educated at the
City College of New York and
received his BA and MA de-
grees from Western Reserve
University in Cleveland, major-
ing in applied social sciences.
He will leave Detroit about
June 1 with his wife, Adele, an
children, Amy Sue and Laurie
Rose, to take up his new duties
on June 10.

summer at Camp Maplehurst,

and Charlevoix, at Kewadin,

subjects as puppetry, ' decora-
tive and fine arts, history, cre-
ative writing and human rela-
