Allow Windsor Student
To Enter Yeshivah
Detroit's Yeshivath Beth Ye-
hudah has gained an interna-
tional flavor, with the admission
recently of six boys from Wind-
sor, who daily commute to the
Torah institution.
The admittance of the six
youths was made possible when,
acting under a provision of the
McCarran - Walter A c t, the
United States Immigration Ser-
vice approved the Yeshivah's
receiving "student immigrants."
This action was based upon
official endorsement of the
Yeshivah as an "approved edu-
cational institution" by the
State Department of Public In-
struction in Lansing.
The new pupils became in-
terested in attending the Ye-
shivah when they recently
visited the institution with a
group of 16 students of the
Shaar Hashomayim Religious
School, in Windsor. A number
of applidations from others in
the group are still pending.
