Mr. and Mrs. Israel Taines recently returned to their home
at 3275 W. Outer Dr., after vacationing in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Franklin, of 19180 Lau-der, have returned
from a two-week- vacation in Miami Beach, Fla.
Mr. Eugene W. Alpern, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Alpern,
of 720 Stanton, Bay- City, Mich., recently received his master
of science degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from the Univer-
sity of Michigan. He will continue his academic studies there.
Mr. and Mrs. Austin A. `Kanter, formerly of Monte Vista
Ave., are now residing in their new home at 19475 Mendota.
Planning to'viSit the families of Dr. Allen Tauber, of Pontiac,
Mich.; Alex Tauber, of Vaughan Ave., and David Tauber, of
Webb Ave., are • newly-weds Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kellner, their
Sister and brother-in-law. Mrs. Kellner, the former Dorothy
Tauber, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Tauber, of Los
Angeles, Calif. Following their visit here, the couple will reside
at 2345. Outpost Dr.
S. R. Resnick has returned from a visit in Los Angeles.
Among the many entertainments given for Mr. and Mrs.
Morris Gordon, of 19162 Wisconsin, in celebration of their 25th
wedding anniversary, was a party given by their friends, Mr.
and Mrs. Ben Meyers, of 19372 Ohio.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Grossberg, of Waverly Ave., were recently
entertained at a surprise party in celebration of their 25th
wedding anniversary, gien by their children, Marilyn, Jack and
Sidney.
Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Schiff (Lenore Rosenfeld and son,
Brian, are taking up residence at COlorado Spring, Colo., where
Dr. Schiff will be statipned at Fort Carson with the U. S. Army
Dental Corps'.
Dr. Herbert Bean has returned to this city after attending
the Midwest Chiropody Conference at the Morrison Hotel,
Chicago, Ill.
Mr. -Nathan Rossen, of Lawton Ave., left last week for Paris
aboard the Queen.Mary. He will join' members of the Nashelsker
Society of Los Angeles for a tour of Europe and Israel.
