1Magic of a 'Geruss'
Ella Schechter Plights
Troth to Allen Zemmol Scholnick's in Rome
Moshe, Heyman, of Glendale
Avenue, upon his return this
week from Israel, related an - in-
teresting episode:
He also visited in Rome and
conveyed a greeting—commonly
referred to in Yiddish as a
"geruss"—in behalf of Danny
Fabrizzio, once associated with
Scholnick's' and now with Saks
Fifth Avenue, • to ' Fabrizzio's
brother who is connected with
the Italian Ministry of Cora-
merce.
An interpreter related the
Fabrizzio-to-Fabrizzio message.
Then Moshe noticed the Ital-
ian's attractive tie. lie turned
it over . and read the label:
"Scholnick's, Importers-
Clothiers, Washington Boule-
v a r d, Detroi t." Whereupon
Moshe unbuttoned his jacket
and flashed to his new-made
