VANCOUVER, (JTA)—The Al-
ma Mater Society at the Univer-
sity of British Columbia has su-
spended two religious clubs—the
Newman Club and Inter-Varsity
Christian Fellowship—from all
rights on campus because of
"religious discrimination."
The suspensions were voted 19
to 7 by the student executive of
the Society on the grounds that
the charters of the two clubs
were discriminatory, and "racial
and religious discrimination are
repugnant to the ideals of a
democracy."
