In celebration of the 40th wedding anniversary of Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Adinoff, of Port Huron, a reception was tendered re-
cently by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Morton A. Eden, Mr. and
Mrs. Bernard Adinoff, of Dayton, 0., and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Adinoff, in the latter's home on Ilene Ave. Among the family in
attendance were the Adinoff's seven grandchildren.
Mitzi Rachleff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Rachleff, of
Pasadena Ave., was honored recently with a ,sweet sixteen party
given by her parents, in the Lee Plaza Hotel. Thirty guests helped
Mitzi to celebrate.
Mrs. J. Zemmol, of 3824 Fullerton, entertained Mrs. J. Spiel-
berg at a •recent tea in honor of the latter's departure for Europe
and Israel. Mrs. Spielberg will visit her family in Israel whom
she has not seen for 32 years.
Mrs. Ann Jaffe gave a surprise birthday party for her sister,
Jean Tonkin last week, at which dinner was served to 30 guests
and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Mackie, of Birwood Ave., recently hon-
ored their daughter, Harriet Glenda, with a sweet sixteen buffet
supper and dance at Pythian Castle, on Wyoming. Over- 15 friends
and relatives honored Harriet, whose host was Larry Hurwitz.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Halpern, of Tyler Ave., left for Europe
aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth on Wednesday. After a brief visit
in Paris, the Halperns will fly aboard El Al to Israel where they
will spend five weeks with their relatives, returning to Europe
before coming home in June:
Mr. Gad Rosenbaum, of Pasadena Ave., will leave aboard HMS
Queen Mary next week to spend the Passover holidays with rela-
tives in London. Mr. Rosenbaum will continue to Israel, returning
via Italy and France in June.
Mrs. Harry L. Joiaes, chairman of the Women's Division of the
Detroit Allied Jewish Campaign, wilt' be the guest of honor at the
leaders' reception of the 1954 Flint United Jewish Appeal, Mon-
day evening, at the home of Mrs. Edwin Elk, 1411 Calumet, Flint,
it was announced by Mrs. William Bailies and Mrs. Henry Living-
ston, Flint drive co-chairmen.

At Warsaw Ghetto Memorial Sunday

the Brown Memorial Chapel,
Temple Beth El.

will be Rabbi Jacob Segal, who

men's Circle choirs, directed by
Dan Frohman, who will sing ap-
propriate musical selections;
Harry Goldstein, radio artist, as
dramatic narrator; and Cantor
Goldring, who will chant appro-
priate liturgical and ghetto song
selections.
In addition to the program,
each person ' attending will re-
ceive a brochure •detailing the
story of the epic uprising • and
also containing literary selec-
tions from ghetto survivors,

Arab Monetary Appeal

($1,600,000) on deposit in the

The House of Lords dismissed
the bank's appeal from a deci-
