Mrs. Benjamin Naimark, of Littlefield Ave., has returned from
San Antonio, Tex., where she spent three weeks visiting her son
and daughter-in-law, Major and Mrs. Martin Naimark, and
grandchildren Ronna and Jill. Maj. Naimark is stationed at
Lackland Air Base, near San Antonio, and serves with the U. S.
Air Force.
Mrs. Ida Showfer, of Monterey Ave., left for Israel aboard the
SS Jerusalem. She will visit with her family in Benyamina and
will return to Detroit the last week of June.
Siegmund Kulka, of Wildemere Ave., flew to Israel last week
on an El Al Israel Airlines Constellation, where he will visit his
brother in Hatsor. Mr. Kulka will return home after brief busi-
ness trips to Vienna, Paris, and London.
Mrs. Lena Carson, of Greenlawn Ave., sailed March 29 for
Israel aboard the SS Jerusalem. She will visit with her daughter
in Kibbutz Gesher Ha'ziv, and will return to Detroit via El Al
Constellation to Paris and Manchester, England, where she will
be the guest of relatives.
Before her marriage to Jack Shiovitz, Zelda Mintz was enter-
tained with a bridal shower at King Fong's, given by Harriet
Mintz, Rozanne Buttner, Sybil Glynn and Mrs. Lou Berman. An-
other shower in the Mayfair Room given by Mesdames Philip
Shiovitz, Lawrence and Burton Mintz honored the bride-elect.
Cpl. Walter J. Weiss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert P. Weiss, of
LaSalle Blvd., has returned home following his discharge from the
U. S. Marine Corps at Treasure Island, Calif.. Mr. Weiss completed
a tour of duty with the 3rd Marine Division in Japan. .
