Dr. Winslozv to Speak on Israel Trip
At Meeting of Beth El Men's Club
Dr. MAX B. WINSLOW (center), a member of Temple Beth
El's board of trustees and a past president of the Men's Club,
will speak on "Israel As I Saw It" at a breakfast club and dis-
cussion group meeting sponsored by the Men's Club at 10 a.m.,
Sunday, in the temple. His talk will be accompanied by pictures
of present-day Israel which he took on his recent trip. On that
visit, he lectured before the Dental Associations of Jerusalem

Fairband Camp to Hold
Annual Reunion Sunday
A special religious school class
for mentally retarded or slow
learning children is currently
being formed, it was announced
this week by a spokesman for
She group.
The class will not be sponsored
by any one synagogue, but ar-
rangements are being made to
accept children from all of the
city's c o n g r e g ation. Children
who now attend special "A"
classes in regular school or who
have found Sunday school too
difficult are urged to attend.

Plans for celebrating the 26th
year and annual reunion of
Farband Camp have been com-
pleted • under the guidance of
Leonard P. Baruch, newly ap-
pointed director - of the camp.
The camp reunion will be held
at 2 p.m., Simday, at Young Is-
rael Center. Campers from Ohio,
Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri and
Canada will attend, as will the
entire camp staff.
The program is directed by
Mrs. Bella Goldberg, camp music
director, with the assistance of
a special campers committee.
Movies, games, prizes, skits and
singing will be featured, and
refreshments served.
M. Gelfand, president of the
camp committee, invites all
campers, their parents and
friends to attend.

Rabbi Meisels' Brother
Here for Testimonial Event
Rabbi Hirsh Meisels, of Chi-
cago, a prominent Yiddish ora-
tor, will be principal speaker at
a testimonial banquet on Jan.
10, in Young Israel Center,
which will honor the third an-
niversary in Detroit of his
brother, Rabbi Chaim Meisels.
The testimonial will be pre-
sented under the auspices of
prominent local synagogues,
landsmanshaften and fraternal
groups. Isadore Sosnick is hon-
orary chairman and David J.
Cohen, chairman, for the event.

Ernest White, Men's Club . co-
chairmen for the Beth Aaron
Juniors.
Mrs. Max Ravet is chairman
of a social hour sponsored by
the Sisterhood, which will fol-
low the service.

by Mrs. Jacob Chinitz. Isadore
Leeman will report on the re-
cent United Synagogue conven-
tion in Miami Beach, Fla.
A social hour will follow the
service, which has been advan-
ced to 8:30 p.m. to permit chil-
dren to attend.
The congregation's board of
directors were the guests of Alex
Kraft, chairman of the building
expansion project, at a dinner
this week, called for the purpose
of formulating plans for the
building's development.
