cations for accounts blocked in
Israel rose from 900 at the end
of May to about 2,750 as of last
week. a liaison representative of
the Palestine Conciliation Com-
mission, who recently arrived

The 11.17 official said that to
date, the Israel custodian for
absentee property has approved
1,200 - applications. The rate of
transfer will be 50 pounds ster-
ling monthly.

of America has granted Israel
a $16,000,000 loan, Echud Avriel,
director general of the Premier's
Office. announced upon his re-
turn from the United States.
He reported that Isreal bond
sales in the lUnited States have
jumped following the most re-
cent Communist attacks on the
Jews. American Jews feel that
Israel is the only haven for refu-
gees from Eastern Europe, he
said.
