Audrey Katz to Wed
Harvey Leon Remer

MISS AUDREY KATZ

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Katz, of
15825 Wisconsin, announce - the
engagement of their daughter,
Audrey,. to Harvey Leon Remer,
on of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
Remer, of 2530 W. Euclid. An-
nouncement was made at an
evening reception at the home
of the bride-elect's parents. The
couple plan to wed on Oct. 11.

Ford to Build Service
Laboratory in Livonia

To meet the challenge of new
mechanical developments in
passenger cars and trucks, Ford
Division of Ford Motor Co. this
fall will complete the training
of the 100,000th dealer service
man trained in the past three
years by FOrd factory service
instructors all over the United
States..
Simultaneously, Ford Division
will open its new Technical
Service Laboratory—the first of
its kind in the automotive in-
dustry. The new structure ad-
joins Ford Division headquar-
ters at Plymouth and Middle-
belt roads, Livonia, Mich.

Dr. Joseph H. Levin is joining
his father, Prof. Samuel M.
Levin, as an instructor at Wayne
University. The association will
be short, however, since the son
will be here for only two weeks
while serving as a discussion
leader in a course dealing with
computer components.
Prof. Levin has been a mem-
ber of the faculty of Wayne for
many years in the school of
economics.
Dr. Levin, who is associated
with the Raytheon Manufactur-
ing Co. of Massachusetts, is one
of a staff of nationally promi-
nent experts on electronic com-
puters brought to Wayne to lec-
ture during the two-week sum-
mer course, which runs through
Aug. 21.
Dr. Levin, a graduate of
Wayne, received his Ph.D. de-
gree in mathematics in 1940
from the University of Chicago.
From 1945 to 1952, he was as-
sociated in a directing capacity
with the electronic computer
branches of the Aberdeen Prov-
ing Grounds and the National
Bureau of Standards.
Since September, 1952, he has
been an important figure in the
new established computing
department of t h e Raytheon
Co., a leading manufacturer in
the electronic equipment field.

of Chicago, Ill., announce the
engagement of their daughter,
Beverly Ann, to Melvin Lyon
Holden, son of Mrs. Simon Hol-
den, of Tuxedo Ave., and the
late Mr. Holden. The bride-elect
is a graduate of Michigan State
College. Her fiance is an engi-
neering student at Electronics
Institute Inc., in Detroit.

Before an altar setting in the
Sheraton - Cadillac Hotel, Gail
Rose Hyman, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Otto Hyman, of Lon-
don Ave., became the bride of
Alan Soskin, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Leonard Soskin, of Oxley
Road. Dr. A. M. Hershman and
Cantor Jacob Sonenklar offi-
ciated.
The bride wore a gown of
white chantilly lace over tulle
and satin, which was fashioned
with a fitted bodice and bouf-
fant skirt extending into,. a
sweeping train. Her fingertip
veil of tulle was attached to a
crown of matching lace, trim-
med with seed pearls, and she
carried a while Bible with white
orchids and stephanotis.
Mary Levy, of Mt. Vernon,
N. Y., was maid of honor, and
Bernice Soskin was matron of
honor. Kal Soskin was his
brother's best man, and ushers
included Marshal Soskin, Sey-
moure Loewenberg, of Miami
Beach, Fla., Seymoure Ekelman.
of Brooklyn, N. Y., Harry Sha-
piro, Malcolm Cohen, Jerome
Manchel, Abe Leiderman and
Milton Ring.
Following dinner and a recep-
tion, the couple left for a honey-
moon through Yellowstone Na-
tional Park to California. On
their return, they will reside on
Westhampton Rd., in Oak Park.

cent action by the Oak Park
School System which granted
the congregation use of the
'school.
Morris Novetsky, president of

that the school is located in the
center of the Oak Park-Hunt-
ington Woods area, on Jerome
Ave., south of Rosemary.
He added that services will be
