Herouti Denies
Placing of Bomb
hi Soviet Legation
TEL AVIV, (JTA) — Yaacov
Herouti, the "number one" sus-
pect among the 15 Israeli youths
cha- rged with underground ter-
rorist activities, denied all
charges brought against him,
including the charge of placing
a bomb in the building of the
Soviet Legation here which re-
sulted in the breaking off of
diplomatic relations between the
Soviet Government and Israel.
The accused, who hitherto re-
fused to participate in the
court proceedings which are
taking place before a military
tribunal, declared in court that
he did not act against the Israel
army "which is dearest to me,"
and that he did not place any
bomb in the Soviet Legation. He
told the judge,- Col. Benjamin
Levi, that even if he knew who
placed the bomb he would not
disclose his name.
Yaffa Dromi, another of the
suspected terrorists, also denied
in court that she ever partici-
pated in any underground or-
ganization. She said that she
was only asked to lecture before
a group of members of the Re-
visionist youth party on subjects
dealing with the history of Is-
rael.
