Jerusalem Labor Council Leader
To Address Histadrut Drive Rally-
Moshe Bar-Am, secretary-gen-
eral of the Labor Council of
Jerusalem, will be guest speaker
at a Histadrut Campaign rally
au Sunday afternoon, at the
Labor Zionist Institute, 13722
Linwood.
The rally will culminate an
intensive week-long special drive
of Histadrut workers and affil-
iated organiza-
tions to attain
the sum of
$100,000 which
is the local goal
towards the na-
tional roll - call
conference the
same afternoon
at Hotel Astor
in New York.

and Farband
were urged to assemble at 10:30
a. in., Sunday, at a special break-
fast parley at LZOA Institute to
accept special assignments to be
covered prior to the rally. The
last-minute effort is planned by
Phillip Goldstein and Ben Har-
old, leaders of the Labor Zionist
and Farband Divisions.
Bar-Am, who is visiting the
United States to study labor re-
lations as a guest of the U. S.
Departments of State and Labor,
played an important role in sav-
ing Jerusalem during the siege
of 1948.
The Habonim choir and dance
group will present a program of
Israeli songs and dances at the
rally.
Harry Schumer, chairman of
executive board, announced a
,contribution of $3,000 through
the efforts of Isaac Litwak, pres-
ident and business manager of
