missioner; Dr. Maurice Kimel-

string orchestra of Adas Shalom
members will accompany 35
members of the choral assembly
in a story set to music called
"Our Bialik."
Soloists will include Mrs. Sol
Slomovitz, Miss Geraldine Posen
and Hy Krupp. Speaking roles
will be taken by Herbert L. Har-
ris, Julius Allen, Mervin Gold-
smith, Sheldon Kirsch, Herman
Raznick, Miss Gertrude Straus
and Mesdames Morris Botwin,
Jules Kamen.
Members of the orchestra are
Miss Mary Ellen Bloom and Her-
man Raskin, Zangwill Garber,
Rudolph Efraim, Adolph Lichter,
Harry Siegel, Herbert Hamer,

A dance with a Washington
Birthday theme will serve as the
first membership affair of the
newly-organized Young Mar-
rieds Group of Temple Israel..
To begin at 9 p.m., Feb. 22,
the dance will feature the music
of Ben Katzman. Singer Fran-
ces Kay, a member of the group,
will entertain. T h e program
also will include a grand march
and the installation of new of-
ficers.
All young married people are
invited to attend, at no charge.
Recent appointments made by

the Young Marrieds Group, are

organization are a speaker at
its March meeting, pot luck din-
ner and games in April, and
community relations program in

Rabbi Gold to Address
Torah Culture Meeting
Rabbi Wolf Gold of Jerusalem
will speak at a program devoted
to Torah culture, it was an-
nounced by Rabbi Israel I. Hal-
pern, chairman of the event.
The program, to be held at
8:45 p.m., Wednesday, in Young
Israel Center, is sponsored by
the Detroit Section, Rabbinical
Council of America, in coopera-
tion with the Jewish Agency for
Palestine, which is promoting
February as a month of dedica-
tion to the principles of Torah
culture.
