BY HARVEY ZALESIN

Well. folks, this column finds
me on my own. My co-author,
Frank Zweig,, has found college
life and other BBYO activities
keeping him a little too busy to
continue. So from here on in,
I go it alone. Many thanks to
Frank, who has been a big help.
Looks as if the girls are taking
command of this month's activ-
ities. First on the list is the
Detroit-Windsor BBG Council's
third annual "Karnival' Kapers"
from 8 p. m. to midnight on Sat-
urday, at Bnai David Synagogue.
Each BBG chapter will be
operating its -own booth, and will
vie in the competition to be main
attraction. Working extra hard
to make the Kapers a big success
have been Muriel B e,n s m a n
overall chairman; Helen Am-
howitz, contact chairman; Mari-.
lyn Weinberg, publicity; and
Doreen Kaufman, decorations.
On Feb. 14, the BBG spotlight
will be on the second annual
Cupid Ball, to be held by Debor-
ah Chapter. The girls have gone
all out with this year's event,
with Dick Stein and Orchestra
to be featured on The program,.
scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., at
Cong. Bnai Moshe. A big floor
show, with Lou Kruger, -Gerry
Wittman,
Pulberg and

many others, is planned for. the
