JERUSALEM— (JTA) — A re-
port on his visit to Germany
and his talks with U. S. High
Commissioner M c C 1 o y on the
Jewish claims against Germany
was made to Premier David
Ben -Gur ion by Dr. Nahum
Goldmann upon his arrival
from London.
Commenting on the fact that
Dr. Goldmann "hurried to Jeru-
salem instead of returning to
the United States, "a Foreign
Office spokesman here told rep-
resentatives of the press: "We
may face in the very near fu-
ture important decisions con-
cerning reparations from Ger-
many."
It was learned that as a re-
sult of Dr. Goldmann's report
to Premier Ben-Gurion, the
Israel Parliament may be asked
to authorize direct Jewish ne-
gotiations with Germany with
regard to reparation claims. It
is understood that the Parlia-
ment will be urged to decide on
such authorization within two
w eeks. •

LONDON — (JTA) — A resolu-
tion urging the British govern-
ment to secure the inclusion in
any Allied contractual arrange-
ment with Germany of a clause
providing for satisfying Jewish
claims on Germany for repara-
tions was adopted at the con-
ference of the British section of
fhe World Jewish Congress.
Another resolution expressed
Concern over the revival of the
ultra-nationalist reac t i o n a r y
and Nazi elements in Germany.
The resolution condemned the
glorification of Nazi generals
through t h e media of cinema,
radio and literature.

tain, the London Times reports
in a 2,000-word article on the
position of the Jews in Eastern
Europe.
The article predicts that Jews
in the countries behind the Iron
Curtain, whether assimilated or
not, will eventually be excluded
from regular employment be-
cause of the increasing facilities
for technical training and the
educational priority g i v e n to
sons of workers and peasants,
and also because of anti-Jewish
prejudice.
