tern covering and repeated in
the fitted cap with seed pearls
centering the petal pattern.
Attending the bride were her
sister, Mrs. Asher N. Tilchin, as
matron of honor; her niece, Miss
Sandra Katz, as junior brides-
maid. Morris Katz was the
bridegroom's best man.
After an extended honeymoon
in Europe, Mr. and Mrs. Anixt•

Mrs. Lebster Named
To Bellefaire Board
Samuel Leib of Detroit, Dis-
trict No. 6 trustee appointed to
the Board of Bellefaire, regional
Jewish children's home located
in Cleveland, has returned from
the 83rd annual meeting and
has announced that Mrs. Mar-
cus. Lebster of Flint was elected
to the board of Bellefaire.
Mrs. Lebster, a graduate social
worker, is past president of
Temple Beth El Sisterhood, 'Vice
president of the State Sister-
hoods and a member of the
board of the Jewish Community
Council in Flint and of the
League of Women VoterS;
Bellefaire's child care program
is unique in that it offers insti-
tutional and foster home care,
and consultation service in the
Midwest throughout the 16
state area covered by Districts
2 and 6 of Bnai Brith. This
flexibility of program allows the
easy transfer of a child from
one type of service to another
in accordance with the psycho-
logical needs of the youngster.
During the past year, the
Bellefaire regional program was
of service to 274 children in 101
communities of 34 different
states. In 1950, there were 14
Detroit children served.

Mr. Jacobs made a strong ap-
peal for speedy efforts in behalf
of the Israel Bond Drive. He
announced that through -ZOD
$293,000 worth of bonds already

Mr. Lappin announced that
under the chairmanship of Sam
Feldstein and Ben Lewis 200 new
'members were enrolled in ZOD
on Z-Day,
Leon Kay presented an inter-
esting report on the recent ZOA
convention and told of the de-
termination to expand the ac-
tivities of the Zionist movement.
A supplementary convention re-
port written by Maurice Zack-
helm was read to the meeting.
The principal address of the
evening was delivered by Dr. A.
M. Hershman who declared that
the creation of Israel does not
mean the liquidation of the
Diaspora. He strongly endorsed
the move to establish the Zion-
ist House here,
Other speakers included Mr.
Crohn, Mr. Isaacs and Rabbi.
