Hyman Miller of Calvert Ave. was in Chicago for the week-
end to visit with his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Ar-
thur Miller.
Mr. and'Mrs. Phil Maskin and daughter, Paula, of Denver are
in the city for a visit with members of their families.
Mrs. Monroe Rosenfield of Cass Ave. will be a guest at Grand
Hotel, Mackinac Island, for several weeks.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel H. Birnkrant of West Seven Mile Road
are enjoying a visit this week with their son, Melvin, at Camp
Interlochen.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis H. Stoller and son of Waverly Ave. are in
.Maine for the summer.
Miss Clarice Freud of Whitmore Road and Mrs. Philip Adler
of Atkinson Ave. are sailing July 20 on the S. S. Exchorda, Ameri-
can Express line, for an eight weeks' Mediterranean cruise. They
plan to fly into Israel for one week, have another week in Italy,
and a few days in Istambul.
Mrs. Eugene Sloman of the Belcrest Hotel is enjoying her an-
nual.holiday at the Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Meyerson of San Juan Drive have a house
at Tawas for the summer.
Stephen Hoffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam W. Hoffman of
Roslyn Road, took the plane to Atlantic City for a stay with his
aunt, Mrs. Larry Nathan.
Mrs. Bert D. Hayms of Manderson Road is expected back this
week from an extended visit with her family in Pasadena.
Dr. Norman Schkloven of Warrington Dr. is flying to Europe
today to attend the psychiatric convention in Amsterdam. He
will extend his stay to see Paris on "Bastile Day," and will return
in a month.
Mrs. Louis Phillips of Calvert Ave. is settled in her summer
home in New Baltimore where Mr. Phillips will join her for
"long" week-ends.
Accompanied by her father, Julius Wohl, Mrs: Harry W. Book-
stein and daughter returned this week from -a visit to Albany and
New York. Mr. Wohl will be the house guest of his daughter and
son-in-law for several weeks before returning to his home on the
West coast.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Warren of Pennington Dr. are making
their house at Tawas their summer headquarters.
Mrs. I. Polozker of the Belcrest Hotel left this week for a
three weeks' holiday at Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben H. Shwayder of Fairfield Ave. were hosts
the past week to their- sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Klein and daughter, Janet, of Chicago.
The Misses Jeanette and Ruth Caplan of Whitmore Road are -
in Alpena for a fortnight's visit.
Mr. and Mrs. James Wineman, and family of Roslyn Road have
a house in Charlevoix for the summer.
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Shafran of Sharon, Pa., were the weekend
guestS of the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Eston of Webb
Ave
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Robinson of Chicago Blvd. are spend-
ing the summer at Charlevoix.
Miss Julia Klein of Whitmore Road was hostess to her aunt
and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Klein of Cleveland.
Mr. and Mrs. Bud Franklin of Whitmore Road are vacationing
in Connecticut.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Ettlinger of Muirland Ave. are spending
fortnight in Goderich, Canada. ,•.
Mr. and Mrs. David Roland of Birchcrest Dr. are vacationing
in Tawas this summer.
