Mrs. Lebster Named To Bellefaire Board Samuel Leib of Detroit, Dis- trict No. 6 trustee appointed to the Board of Bellefaire, regional Jewish children's home located in Cleveland, has returned from the 83rd annual meeting and has announced that Mrs. Mar- cus. Lebster of Flint was elected to the board of Bellefaire. Mrs. Lebster, a graduate social worker, is past president of Temple Beth El Sisterhood, 'Vice president of the State Sister- hoods and a member of the board of the Jewish Community Council in Flint and of the League of Women VoterS; Bellefaire's child care program is unique in that it offers insti- tutional and foster home care, and consultation service in the Midwest throughout the 16 state area covered by Districts 2 and 6 of Bnai Brith. This flexibility of program allows the easy transfer of a child from one type of service to another in accordance with the psycho- logical needs of the youngster. During the past year, the Bellefaire regional program was of service to 274 children in 101 communities of 34 different states. In 1950, there were 14 Detroit children served. Hershman who declared that the creation of Israel does not mean the liquidation of the Diaspora.
