Schwartz, son of Mrs. Anna
Schwartz, of Elmhurst Ave., and
the late Harry Schwartz. The
wedding 'date has been set for

Chajes' Works Included
in Composers' Concert

The work of seven, Detroit
eomposers whose nationality
backgrounds are a typical cross-
section of Detroit and the na-
tion will salute Detroit's 250th
anniversary in the Detroit com-
posers' concert of the Scandin-
avian Sympony Orchestra, May
4, in Scottish Rite Cathedral.
Four of the composers are for-
eign-born; Julius Chajes, Victor
Kolar, August Maekelberghe and
the late Henri Matheys, Ruth
Wylie, Homer LaGassey, and
Clark Eastham are American-
born.
The 80-piece orchestra itself,
founded and .sponsored by De-
troiters of Scandinavian de-
scent, is composed of many na-
tionalities, less than. one-third
Scandinavian, now In . its 20th
year.
