Week-End's Events Musical History Will Mark Women's

Mr. and Mrs. Irving Klein, of San Juan Dr., had as their house
guest, her sister, Miss Leah Marmorstein of New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kaploe are spending a week in Philadel-
phia and New York.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Weisberg, of 2070 W.. Chicago, will hold
an open house from 3 to 7 p.m., Sunday, honoring the birth of
their grandson, Jeffrey Lee, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Weis-
berg, of . 3743 Boston. No cards.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Leader of Webb Ave., have returned from
Los Angeles where they spent the winter months.
Miss Julia Klein of Whitmore Road left Sunday by plane to
spend a month with her cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Julius L. Cohen of
Denver, Colo.
Mr. and Mrs. Melville Welt of Balmoral Drive will sail this
week on the SS Independence for a two months' tour of Europe.
Mr. and Mrs. Hoke Levin of Balmoral Drive have returned
from a week's stay at Hotel Barclay, New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry C. LeVine of Muirland Ave., are enjoying
a visit from their respective sisters, Mrs. Max Sanfield of Boston
and Mrs. Irving Tevaloff of San Francisco.
Dr. and Mrs. A. M. Bookstein of the Highland Towers were
guests at the Sherry Frontenac, Miami Beach, for a fortnight.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark Rafelson of Oak Drive are expected home
this week after a five months' stay at Bay Harbor, Miami, Fla.
Dr. and Mrs. Joseph Bleier of Muirland Ave. have returned
from a vacation at the Bel Air, Miami Beach.
Dr. and Mrs. S. B. Danto of Chicago Boulevard were hosts the
past week-end to Rabbi Samuel Cook of Cincinnati, director of
National Federation of Temple Youth.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kasle and daughter, Susan, are in De-
troit until May 15 to visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julius
Green of Muirland Ave. and Mr. and Mrs. Abe Kasle of Lucerne
Drive.
Mr. and Mrs. Hanley Wolf of Fairfield Ave. are spending this
week in Chicago to visit members of Mrs. Wolf's family.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gordon of Oak Drive have returned from
a vacation at the Delmonico, Miami Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Hoffman of Roslyn Road returned from
a vacation at the Sherry Frontenac, Miami Beach, and went on
to visit members of their family in Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Bert D. Hayms of Manderson Road is visiting with her
daughter Elsie in Memphis, Tenn.
Dr. and Mrs. Moe Perlis of Glynn Court are spending 10 days
in Ashville, N. C.
Mrs. Albert Krohn of Cambridge Road is a guest at the Union,
Ann Arbor, during the May Festival.
Mr. and Mrs. Morey L. Rosenthal of Parkside Ave. have re-
turned from a visit to Chicago where they celebrated the 80th
birthday of Mr. Rosenthal's father.
Mrs. Benjamin Smith of Buffalo, N. Y., is spending the week-
end with her relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Philip G. Smith of Boston
Blvd.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Becker of Strathcona Drive are hosts this
week-end to Mrs. Melanie K. Lowe of Cincinnati.

A full week-end's events with
special religious services on the
Sabbath Eve and morning will
mark the 90th anniversary, of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek in
the fall, Dr. Leonard Sidlow,
general chairman of the cele-
bration, stated this week, A
congregational dinner will con-
clude the celebration.
The children of the religious,
afternoon and nursery schools
will have a special celebration
on the Sunday morning of the
observance week-end.
A souvenir book, written by
Rabbi Morris Adler and con-
taining the history of the con-
gregation, will appear during the
celebration.

In tribute to Dr. A. M.
Hershman, rabbi emeritus of
the congregation, marking his
70th birthday, the Shaarey
Zedek will publish a volume
of outstanding sermons de-
livered during the 40 years of
his active leadership.
