Teen Camp Plans

The Dexter-Davison branch
of the Jewish Community Cen-
ter is now offering a camping
program for teen-agers at the
new Israel Davidson Camp site
at Pine Lake. The program will
include tent camping, swimming,
cookouts and woodcraft.
Bus transportation will be
provided to and from the camp.

Tenor George Karle .
On Omena Inn Staff

The noted tenor, George Karle,
has been engaged as new social
director of Omena Inn, an-
nounced Mrs. A. S. Landis, host-
ess of the Northern Michigan
resort.
Karle, who has been featured
with Olson and Johnson and in
the revival of the Vagabond
King, became a Detroit favorite
with his performances with the
New Opera Co.
The Omena Inn staff already
includes Del Towers and his
continental orchestra.

Louis Smith's Insurance
Nets JNF Sum of $500

An insurance policy which
made the Jewish National Fund
the beneficiary has netted the
Israel land-purchasing agency
the sum of $500.
Louis Smith, 53, a furrier, who
died three weeks ago, wrote the
policy two years ago, making the
JNF his beneficiary, William
Hordes announced this week.
Mr. Hordes stated that the Us-
sishkin League was formed to
encourage the writing of insur-
ance with JNF as beneficiary.
Mr. Smith is survived by his
wife and two children.

Women's Organization have ar-
rived in Israel for a month's
special "Silver Jubilee Tour."
Arranged by the Moatzot Ha-
poalot, PWO's sister organiza-

American group's 25th anniver-
sary, the tour will take the

state.
